State College Insulation was founded in 2024 right here in State College, PA - a town where winters are long, heating bills climb fast, and a lot of older homes were built before energy efficiency was even a consideration. We started because we saw a real need: homeowners and landlords across Centre County dealing with drafty houses, cold floors, and high utility bills, and not getting straight answers about why.
State College is a unique place to run a home services business. You have older neighborhoods near Penn State campus with homes built between the 1920s and 1960s, mid-century ranches and colonials spread through the townships, and newer subdivisions in Patton and Ferguson Township. Each has different insulation needs. We work across all of them - from rim joist spray foam in a 1940s bungalow off Beaver Avenue to blown-in attic upgrades in a 1980s split-level in College Township.
Our goal has always been simple: show up on time, do the work right, and explain what we did before we leave. If something is not what we said it would be, we fix it. That is the kind of contractor we wanted to find when we were homeowners ourselves - so that is the kind of contractor we built.
