By accessing or using the website statecollegeinsulation.com (the "Site") or by engaging State College Insulation ("we," "us," or "our") for any services, you ("Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this Site or our services.
These terms apply to all visitors to the Site and to all customers who request or receive insulation services from State College Insulation.
State College Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services in State College, PA and surrounding communities in central Pennsylvania. Services include but are not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, basement insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, insulation removal, and vapor barrier installation.
All services are performed at the address specified by the Customer and agreed upon in a written estimate. We reserve the right to decline any job request at our discretion.
All estimates provided by State College Insulation are based on a free on-site assessment of the property. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
An estimate is not a binding contract. Work does not begin until the Customer reviews and accepts the written estimate, and a start date is confirmed. If site conditions discovered during installation differ materially from what was visible during the assessment, we will notify the Customer before proceeding and will provide a revised estimate. No additional work outside the agreed scope will be performed without written Customer authorization.
Prices are subject to change before a written estimate is accepted by the Customer. Once an estimate is accepted in writing, the price is fixed to the scope described, subject to Section 3 above regarding changed conditions.
Installation dates are scheduled by mutual agreement between State College Insulation and the Customer. We will confirm the scheduled date at least one business day in advance.
If the Customer needs to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a rescheduling fee. We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will notify the Customer as soon as possible and reschedule at the earliest available date.
The Customer is responsible for:
If the Customer fails to fulfill these responsibilities and it causes a delay or prevents work from being completed, we reserve the right to charge for the affected time at our standard rate.
Payment is due upon completion of each job unless a different payment schedule is agreed upon in writing before work begins. We accept payment by check, cash, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before scheduling the work, which will be stated in the estimate.
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the completion date may be subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. In the event that collection efforts are required, the Customer agrees to pay all reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees.
State College Insulation warrants that all work will be performed in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. If a defect in our workmanship is identified within one year of the completion date, we will return to correct the issue at no charge, provided the defect was not caused by the Customer, a third party, or conditions not disclosed prior to the work.
Materials and products installed are covered only by the manufacturer warranty, which varies by product. We make no additional warranty regarding the performance of installed materials beyond what the manufacturer provides. We will provide product documentation upon request.
We make no guarantee of specific energy savings or utility bill reductions. Actual performance depends on factors outside our control, including but not limited to occupant behavior, HVAC system condition, and weather conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, State College Insulation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services or the use of this Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a service engagement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific work giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the form of the action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing any legal action. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Centre County, Pennsylvania, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
